WHITE INKS
In addition to black, white is one of the most popular color choices for wire & cable marking, as well as product identification.
Since GEM is famous for ink, we've spent several years refining many formulae of ink for the brightest codes and best adhesion.
Due to the variety of substrates, we've developed several different white inks. Read on or contact us to help you determine which ink will make your code look exceptional.
WTG1660
WTG1660 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with nozzle sizes 55 microns and larger. WTG1660 produces opaque white codes when printed on dark substrates. The ink is compatible with printers designed for heavy pigmented inks (stirring is required during operation. Codes resist migration of the ink, resists transfer on PVC, light fast, resists damage by heat. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) based ink.
WTG1860
WTG1860 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with 50 micron or larger nozzle sizes. This ink was specially designed for use in wire harness marking applications. Its unique adhesion properties can replace the use of UV cured ink on wire cutting equipment in most applications. Adhesion and visibility of the code after exposure to automotive solvents is critical for these applications. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) based
Printing codes on PVC, PE and other wire coatings. Printed codes are high contrast and easily visible on dark surfaces. Codes survive, even after exposure to automotive fluids. Fully tested by an outside laboratory. See results listed below. Flame or corona treatments typically enhance adhesion.
WTG3260
WTG3260 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with 50 micron or larger nozzle sizes. This ink was specially designed for solvent resistance and enhanced adhesion. It is designed to be UV cured after application. The ink provides adhesion and visibility of the code even after exposure to automotive solvents. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) based ink.
Printing codes on automotive parts, electronic devices, PVC, PE and other wire coatings. Printed codes are high contrast and easily visible on dark surfaces.
WTG4260
WTG4260 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with nozzle sizes 55 microns and larger. WTG4260 produces bright opaque white codes when printed on dark substrates. The ink is compatible with printers designed for heavy pigmented inks (stirring is required during operation. Codes resist migration of the ink, resists transfer on PVC, light fast, resists damage by heat. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) based ink.
WTG4560
WTG4560 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with nozzle sizes 55 microns and larger. WTG4560 produces tough opaque white codes when printed on dark substrates. The ink is compatible with printers designed for heavy pigmented inks (stirring is required during operation. Designed as a general purpose white. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) based ink. Excellent ink for customers with little pigmented ink experience.
WTG5260
WTG5260 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with nozzle sizes 55 microns and larger. WTG5260 produces a high contrast opaque white code when printed on dark substrates. The ink is compatible with printers designed for heavy pigmented inks (stirring is required during operation. Codes resist migration of the ink, resists transfer on PVC, light fast, resists damage by heat. Acetone based ink.
WTG7160
WTG7160 is a white pigmented ink for use in pigmented/opaque ink jet printers with nozzle sizes 55 microns and larger. WTG7160 produces opaque white codes when printed on dark substrates. The ink is compatible with printers designed for heavy pigmented inks (stirring is required during operation.
Codes are rub resistant and provide enhanced adhesion, light fast, resists damage by heat. Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) based ink.
